   LOCAL MP IN TOP 10%!

In statistics just published by the House of Commons Library, Andrew Miller, MP for Ellesmere Port and Neston, is shown to be in the top 10% of MPs voting in Commons divisions.

In the 2008/2009 Parliamentary session Mr Miller is shown to have voted in 84% of all Parliamentary divisions.  The average figure for all MPs was 64%.

Mr Miller said:

“I believe that it very important that I take the time to make my voice heard by voting in the House of Commons.  I was elected by my constituents to represent them and this is one important way in which I can do this.

“Obviously there are a small number of occasions when other Parliamentary or constituency commitments make it impossible to actually be in London on the day of a particular vote, but, as my record shows, I take my responsibilities in supporting, or objecting to, legislation very seriously.”
