Andrew Miller MP for Ellesmere Port & Neston has nominated David Maddock of Stanney News for the Small Shop of the Year award Mr Maddock has recently invested a significant amount of money renovating his shop to a high standard, from a building that had been derelict in the town centre area for a number of years.  Having previously been a market trader, Mr Maddock took over the shop after having seen it lay empty for so long. It is good to see a new independent retailer entering the market so enthusiastically and putting in such investment into our local areas.

Andrew visited Stanney News and is shown here with David Maddock; Andrew said; ‘I was delighted to support Mr Maddock, his shop was full and vibrant, a true corner shop – I am confident of Mr Maddock’s success’.
