   PM visits Vauxhall plant

Prime Minister, Gordon Brown MP visited Vauxhall Motors in Ellesmere Port on Tuesday 15th September, he was joined by Andrew Miller MP on his tour of the plant.  Gordon Brown met the employees and spoke to them and the local management about the future of the car industry in Ellesmere Port.

Andrew Miller said, 'I was pleased to see Gordon visiting this site, this is the most efficient car manufacturing site in Europe, which has now launched the new Astra.  The Government have been been working hard to to keep this plant up and running, we will continue to put pressure on the new owners, Magna, to manufacture the new electric vehicle here'
