Andrew said, 'When this site (University of Chester Church of England Academy south campus) is vacated by the school when they move into their new £25 million Academy building, I want to see a purpose built Sports Village, which can accomodate a range of sports including a high quality swimming pool.'

'We need to be ambitious and bring together all interested sporting bodies with the aim of achieving the high quality facilties that our community deserves. We succeeded before and got the magnificant athletics track on the Stanney Oaks site that was opened by Tanni in 2005. I am delighted that she has agreed to continue to help in any way she can in turning this dream into reality.'
